Got this cool piece of paper yesterday from the University of British Columbia -- it says the Faculty of Graduate Studies has conferred the degree of Master of Fine Arts on me (in this neat, old-fashioned font no less). Just thought I'd mention this as I've been working toward this degree for a few years, and now that I'm done, I'm really rather stoked. My wife took the day off work, my kids skipped school, and it was great to see their faces in the audience throughout the ceremony (if it wasn't for them and their patience, I'd never have been able to do this).
